Sculpture I (Beginning Sculpture) Workshop

To attend this workshop you do not need any prior knowledge in sculpture, only interest and willingness to learn.

This is an introductory class to the art of sculpture as a creative process.  Students will learn to create sculptural pieces using paper, string, reed and clay. They will create their own custom pieces of sculptural art.  

METHODOLOGY:
To allow students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the materials and learn application methods. Students will apply techniques learned through exercises and learn to work with different mediums: Paper, string, reed and wood. They will learn about the history of sculpture and its role in society today.

CONTENT:
Students will begin to work with paper and advance to other mediums.
